25th anniversary committee is a Who's Who of businesspeople, philanthropists, volunteers.
What: On Tuesday, President and CEO Sue Stepleton will welcome an influential group of regional leaders to the National Center for Parents as Teachers as the nonprofit convenes its first 25th anniversary event committee meeting. As part of the Parents as Teachers yearlong 25th anniversary campaign, the group will also preview a new video about the return on investment Parents as Teachers offers the business community.
Who: Dee Joyner, senior vice president at Commerce Bank, and June McAllister Fowler, vice president at BJC Health Care, are co-chairing the 25th anniversary celebration event on Nov. 7 to honor the many founders, supporters and champions of Parents as Teachers.
Other notable committee members scheduled to attend include Catherine Hanaway, Jim Buford, Carolyn Losos, Lee Fetter, Deborah Hollingsworth, Jane Nelson and Laura Reeves.

Why: The National Center 25th anniversary campaign leaders will serve as Parents as Teachers ambassadors in their own communities--raising awareness of the National Center for Parents as Teachers as the resource base and backbone for a network of family support services. The goal of the National Center's 25th anniversary campaign is to secure funding to strengthen the overall capacity of the Parents as Teachers network to provide parents with research-based information on their developing child.
