Afilias to Provide 1-Click DNSSEC(tm) Service to Simplify DNS Security Rollout
New solution to speed adoption of DNSSEC and enhance Internet security
Dublin, Ireland -- Today Afilias announced the beta launch of 1-Click DNSSECTM , an enhancement to its Managed DNS Service, that allows organizations, corporations and government agencies to enable DNS Security Extensions (DNSSEC) on their domains, quickly and easily. Afilias is currently accepting 'proof of concept' testing customers and expects to officially rollout 1-Click DNSSECTM as a service available to all of the Afilias Managed DNS customers later this year.

Afilias' 1-Click DNSSEC is an add-on service to its Managed DNS product that already provides users with the most diverse, globally available infrastructure to manage traffic to their Web presence. In addition to Afilias' 100% uptime guarantee, 1-Click DNSSECTM will provide users with:

DNS Security Extensions (DNSSEC) was first introduced in the mid-1990s as an additional security measure to protect the DNS from cache poisoning exploits which can allow a bad actor to get in the middle of an Internet users' request to access a Web site without their knowledge. The protocol officially became an RFC in 2005. In 2008, The Public Interest Registry announced that, in conjunction with their technical services provider Afilias, they would sign .org.
