Armand de Brignac Champagne is proud to have been awarded one of its most prestigious accolades to date. José Peñín, renowned wine journalist and author of the annual Peñín Guide to Spanish Wine, has awarded Armand de Brignac's Brut Gold Champagne a staggering 98 out of 100 points in the latest issue of Mr. Peñín's esteemed Sibaritas wine magazine, the most respected Spanish publication of its kind.

In his glowing report on Armand de Brignac Brut Gold, Peñín awarded the Champagne "Top of Sibaritas," an honor reserved for the best wines the publication has featured. As part of his critique, Peñín writes:

"Refinement and exclusivity are hallmarks not only of this Champagne's content but also the package…

The opulent exterior initially led me towards skepticism and therefore provoked a subconscious fear that the contents would not match the exterior. Wrongly so! The extraordinary finish and distinction were a total surprise and well surpassed my expectations.

The color is a shimmering yellow tone, and the aroma muted but extraordinarily fine, with timeless subtlety. Once on the palate, the mouth is overwhelmed by a series of low-intensity but clearly detectable shades brought together in a perfect symphony…

The bubbles are almost microscopic, but are abundant and seductive with a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity.

98 Points - Top of Sibaritas"

Señor Penín's statement follows an extraordinary series of accolades for Armand de Brignac from world-renowned wine connoisseurs including the U.S.-based Wine & Spirits magazine, Italy's Alberto Lupetti, Sweden's Kåre Halldén and international critics Arturo Ciompi and Gil Lempert-Schwarz.
