Best Bully Sticks, http://www.bestbullysticks.com, a leading provider of all-natural and organic dog treats, is pleased to announce Mailman's Best Friend -- a contest celebrating postal and parcel carriers who have achieved success in the often trying world of carrier-canine relations.
Mailman's Best Friend is seeking submissions that showcase positive relationships between letter or package carriers and a dog or dogs along the daily delivery route. Mail and parcel handlers have a variety of mediums at their disposal to display that relationship as Best Bully Sticks is accepting short essays, a photo, or even a video that's two-minutes or less. From those entries, one grand prize winner will receive year's supply of bully sticks. Two additional entries that show exceptionally original tales of friendship between a canine and carrier will each receive $50 in gift certificates for Best Bully Sticks.
Best Bully Sticks understand the difficulties that mail and package carriers encounter on a routine basis - long hours, working through inclement weather, and the very real threat of a dog attack. According to the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC), there is an average of ten dog bites per day. Even so, postal and parcel carriers continue to bring the mail every day.
Best Bully Sticks is using this contest to spotlight the relationships that don't make the National Association of Letter Carrier's statistics, the ones that carriers look forward to every day, the ones that leave dogs leaping at the front door, tails wagging, barking with anticipation of the mail arriving. And Best Bully Sticks is looking to reward the carrier for going above and beyond, for overcoming the adversities of their job and making friends along the way.
The Mailman's Best Friend contest is open to all letter carriers of the United States Postal Service as well as delivery personnel at DHL, Federal Express, UPS, and similar package delivery and courier companies. The dog featured in the story must be a dog that was initially encountered at some point during the delivery day. The contest begins on March 6th 2009 and ends on April 17th, 2009. The winning submissions will be announced on April 24th, 2009. Grand prize will be chosen at random. Runners up will be determined by Best Bully Sticks staff.
