New York, NY (PRWEB) March 5, 2009
InfoNgen, the first Discovery Engine for business, finance and information professionals, today announced that it has been named a finalist in the Software & Information Industry Association's 24th Annual CODiE Awards competition. The CODiE Awards recognize outstanding achievement and vision in the software, digital information and education technology industries, and are the only peer-judged awards of their kind.
InfoNgen is a real-time Discovery Engine, engineered with a flexible set of aggregation tools that are agnostic to content format. InfoNgen automatically monitors and extracts highly relevant content no matter where it resides - on the web, on a user's desktop, in emails or attachments, among workgroups or even within an entire enterprise. By constantly scanning, indexing and automatically applying consistent business and financial meta-data to all sources of content, InfoNgen enables users to discover personally relevant information that's delivered in real time.
InfoNgen was selected as a finalist from among more than 850 nominations, according to the SIIA. "The competition is particularly steep this year during the 24th Annual SIIA CODiE Awards, making selection as a CODiE Finalist a real achievement," said Ken Wasch, SIIA President. "All the companies on this year's list of CODiE Finalists should feel justifiably proud of their accomplishment in making it to this stage."
"We're honored to be recognized by our peers for the platform we've created which provides structure and a uniform context to a world of unstructured and disparate content," said John Mahoney, co-founder and CTO of InfoNgen. "Though we're excited by what we've been able to accomplish this past year, we're even more excited about some of the new features and capabilities we'll be rolling out in the coming months. This is a fantastic time to be involved with semantic technologies and information discovery."
CODiE Award winners will be announced at a gala on May 5th, 2009 in San Francisco, CA.
