What could be more comforting than receiving a pot of hot soup? The Soup Kitchen designed by Fancifull Baskets, delivers just that. Minimal assembly required. Ready to eat soups are nestled in a stainless steel soup pot, along with organic pasta, pasta sauce, cheese, salami, and chocolate. Dinner delivered; no muss no fuss, and no lines to stand in.
The Soup Kitchen was conjured up by Terry August, owner of Fancifull Baskets. She felt overwhelmed by the bombardment of bad news coming from all sources, with images of people, hats in hand, standing in line for handouts running through her head. "Why not bring something to them? We love putting great tastes together, I particularly like the idea of a someone sitting at their table and enjoying their soup after a long day," says August. She noted that people were leaning toward the more practical in gift giving, which inspired her to rethink her basket line. The Soup Kitchen has proved especially popular when sending congratulations for a new baby, or a housewarming, get well, or condolence gift. Adds August: "I think of it as sending out a big hug."
