Australia's Mrs. Claus (aka Christmas author, speaker and 'Conversations with Mrs. Claus' http://www.TheFamilyYak.com 's popular podcast host Bernadette Dimitrov) will be representing the first ever Australian Mrs. Claus at the biggest convention of Santa Clauses, Mrs. Clauses and helpers from all around the world as they gather in Tennessee, USA in March 2009.
In this historic event, Dimitrov will be proudly flying her Australian flag on the award winning CyberSleigh, a highlight of the Convention's parade. This parade is expected to draw thousands of spectators as well as worldwide media coverage. Dimitrov will also be the first Australian to sign the historic Santa's Oath Book. She has also been asked by the leadership of the convention to run the first ever 'Podcast 101' workshop for Santas.
Celebrate Santa Convention (CelebrateSanta.com) with several hundred Santa Clauses and their entourage of Mrs. Clauses, elves and even reindeer owners will be descending on the Great Smoky Mountain National Forest for 3 days starting March 16, 2009 at Gatlinburg, Tennessee in the USA. Here they will gather to learn their craft and associate with others from around the world. Sleigh bells will be ringing for this historic and jolliest event ever featuring the signing of 'Santa's Oath', workshops, exhibits, entertainment, industry showcases, two museums and a parade with thousands expected!
Part of the opening ceremonies of the convention will be the first ever taking of the Santa Claus Oath. The Santa Claus Oath outlines eight principles that a Santa Claus should follow. Created by Santa Phillip L. Wenz, the Santa Claus Oath was inspired by two legendary Santa Clauses, Jim Yelling known as the "Real Santa" and Charles W. Howard known as "Dean" of Santa Clauses. 70 years after their first meeting two of the grandsons of these legendary Santas were the first to sign the Santa Claus Oath in Santa Claus, Indiana USA.
The newly created oversized book containing the Santa Claus Oath will include the story of the first Santa Convention of 1939, the biographies of Howard and Yelling, information detailing the Celebrate Santa Convention, plus the Santa Claus Oath. After the convention, the Oath Book will be sealed and returned to Santa's Candy Castle in Indiana to be displayed in a place of honor, along with photographs and the story of the 2009 Celebrate Santa convention. The Oath Book will stay at the Castle in the display and not signed or moved again until it makes the journey to the next Santa convention. Australia's Mrs. Claus, Bernadette Dimitrov, will be running the conventions first ever 'Podcast 101' workshop, teaching Santas and other Christmas folk this new digital media to take them, their messages and products to the world. Bonnie Dillabough, the founder of Yaktivate.com will be presenting a marketing workshop at the convention as her network prepares the opening of the first ever Christmas Podcast Channel to feature world renowned Santa Clauses, Mrs. Clauses (including Australia's Mrs. Claus, Bernadette Dimitrov) and Christmas vendors and businesses from around the world.
The Celebrate Santa three-day event includes 30 comprehensive workshops for those who wish to learn and improve upon their personification of Santa and Mrs. Claus. Each in-depth educational session will be conducted by top professionals in their field.
Other highlights of the event include special exhibits brought in from the National Christmas Center (NationalChristmasCenter.com). Cases of historic artifacts of Santa Claus will be on display. In addition, Santa memorabilia from the private collection of world renowned Santa Phillip L. Wenz will also be on display. Santa's Showcase, a unique exhibition open to the public, features hundreds of Christmas and Santa Claus related products and services. Legendary Louise Mandrell, country music singer and star of stage and television will be appearing for photographs and autographs.
St. Patrick and his leprechauns will meet St. Nicholas and his elves in one of the most unique parades ever seen. On March 17 the Holly and Shamrock Parade (HollyandShamrock.com) will feature unique Christmas floats, Santas and Mrs. Clauses. Santa's spectacular Cyber Sleigh (Cybersleigh.com) will have on board Dimitrov, Australia's Mrs. Claus featured on the award winning Santa's sleigh, which is a highlight of the parade. She will proudly wave her Australian flag to the tens of thousands of spectators and world media covering the event.
Dimitrov, aka Mrs. Claus, will be on board CyberSleigh with Santa Dick Conkling the owner and famous inventor of CyberSleigh and Celebrate Santa coordinators, Joseph and Mary Moore. The dash of this "super sleigh" sports a painted map of the world plus a star chart with many constellations and a compass so Santa won't get lost! It raises up and spins, has jet engines blasting Co(2) smoke, and contains a lighting and stereo system that is sheer excitement for cheering crowds.
