Entertainment Group Selects CODA Finance System to Manage Complex Accounting Requirements

CODA Group, the finance software specialist, today announced the signing of a new contract with The Seatem Group, the world's leading international entertainment travel group.

The Seatem Group operates across more than 22 countries and represents entertainment events including theatre, sport, rock and pop, theme parks and attractions, opera, festivals and music. It sells tickets and ticket-inclusive packages to people wishing to attend the represented events.

Seatem deals with a large number of transactions across multiple countries and needs to account for each of those in real-time. It was vital that the old, cumbersome finance system was replaced with something that would integrate with a central in-house designed ticketing system for joined up accounting and performance management across the business.

"We were spending too much time on manual data entry into our old finance system using Excel, which is not an efficient use of our time," said Niall McGinnity, Financial Manager at Seatem. "CODA demonstrated that its Financials offers a high level of functionality and automation as well as integration into our business critical ticketing systems, so we will have an accurate view of business performance at all times. It will also accommodate our multi-company, multi-currency requirements which come from operating internationally. Management reporting will be improved and simplified and consolidation will be much easier than it has been in the past. We believe that over time, CODA will save us money through more efficient accounting processes."

In addition to CODA's Financials and XL reporting software, Seatem has purchased licenses for Analytic Explorer, designed to improve performance management and analytic browsing and software to manage purchasing, invoice matching, assets and billing.

These include financial management systems, analysis applications, and business process management and control software to implement compliance solutions.
