A cutting-edge philanthropic organization celebrates its first year of unprecedented global humanitarian impact -- meeting a variety of needs for impoverished communities throughout the world. Humanity Unites Brilliance (HUB) has exceeded the $1 Million mark of gifting to those in need within a year's time generated through its monthly membership model.

HUB was founded by Visionary, Charlie Gay, a worldwide businessman who had spent his early years as a rock promoter and was sponsored to the USA by CHER prior to discovering his life purpose of humanitarian service. Gay pondered the blatant imbalances of resources on our planet. He felt that the issues of humanity were not being dealt with effectively by struggling non-profit organizations. "Most non-profits don't have the resources to provide for their cause (which has worsened due to the stressed economy)", remarks Gay, "And yet they have big hearts by which to give."

The turning point for Gay was in February 2007 when he served as Executive Director for Mineseeker Foundation (a non-profit organization whose patrons included Nelson Mandela, Queen Noor of Jordan, Sir Richard Branson, Graca Machel, Brad Pitt, and John Paul deJoria). He was working in Mozambique during the time the United Nations cut their budget, leaving hundreds of families without a supply of food. Then earthquake and cyclones hit the area, forcing a massive refugee influx into camps. Although non-profits rushed in, the situation remained dire due to lack of funds and resources.

"As I looked around me," added Gay, "I saw a number of companies who were trying to help but were inadequately funded. It was at that moment that I felt called to do something more. I reached out to my own circle of influence and contacted my friend Larry Jones, Founder of Feed the Children. Together, we swiftly distributed over $2 million of life-enriching meals from a China factory owned by a 'for-profit' company that had surplus supplies. We had met the needs of starving families by combining 'for-profit' and 'non-profit' efforts."

With this understanding, HUB was created and modeled as a "for-profit" organization with a membership that allows for exponential growth through giving and receiving. HUB has provided an additional $1.4 Million in income to its members to help create their own financial stability amidst hard economic times. "We've created an economic engine of members throughout the world who are committed to providing and exchanging sustained global giving while at the same time impacting themselves." adds Gay. "Politics and celebrities don't fix the world. The world is fixed by you and me, the grassroots of the world who come together to 'Unite' in Our Brilliance."

HUB unites some of the most effective non-profit and for-benefit organizations to create a TOTAL PACKAGE of humanitarian impact - of food, water, education, environmental and vocational training, financial literacy and micro-lending.

Highlights of the first year's activities include: daily feeding of the school children in the largest slum in Nairobi, Kibera; starting up the first micro-loan circles in the toughest slum in Korogocho; installing and operating "raincatchers" on dozens of school roofs providing pure water to villages; and currently, working with the former child soldiers of Liberia, providing vocational training and environmental programs under the support of President Sirleaf.

"Our mission is to transition the world from survival, to self-empowerment, to sustained abundance," concludes Gay. "In addition to the funds that HUB sends directly to our global humanitarian impact partners, we help generate gifts through our members to benefit domestic community impact projects."

HUB helped carry out the largest sustained food, toy and personal care drop in USA history between Thanksgiving and Christmas 2008. "Miracle on Main Street" brought together Feed The Children, The Salvation Army, Feed333, HUB members and the NBA Players Association, including Shaquille O'Neal.

This month HUB launches across Europe, with initial impact focus supporting the people of banking-devastated Iceland, which is the first European country to face the brink of collapse.

Additional Quote from Charlie Gay:

"When the United States government spent 17% of its domestic dollars on healthcare alone and yet over 12 million babies were born last year without healthcare--and when we know we can provide healthcare and other resources to the poorest families in the world for a fraction of the cost, we must ask ourselves, where will our resources best be used and which country is the developing or so-called 3rd world?"
