Celebrity Rights Advocacy Group Petitions to get "Rihanna's Law" Enacted

Stoparazzi Inc. is asking the public to rally for privacy and protection of crime victims.

The main goal is to protect victim's rights. Let's not allow situations like this victimize the victim. By going to www.rihannaslaw.com and signing the RIHANNA'S LAW petition, you can make a difference

Enacting RIHANNA'S LAW is the aim. It will make leaking, distributing and publishing private law enforcement crime photos, (such as the one of Rihanna,) illegal whether there is money exchanged or not. The current law, "Mel's Law," requires money change hands in order to be considered a crime. As it stands, anyone can leak private victim photos and get away with it, as long as no one can prove the source received money, which is virtually impossible to do. "The publication of Rihanna's police victim photo was inexcusable and will likely help the alleged attacker get off. All involved need to be prosecuted in cases like this and with the new proposed law, acts like this will be less common due to a real threat of prosecution," says Terry Ahern, President of Stoparazzi. Ahern went on to say, "The main goal is to protect victim's rights. Let's not allow situations like this victimize the victim.
