Easy, safe and secure online payment for Irish Open 2009 available until March 27.

Dublin, Ireland (PRWEB) March 7, 2009 -- paddypowerpoker.com today announced that its online registration facility for the Irish Open 2009 will remain open until March 27. Online payment can be made in three simple steps via a customised payment gateway on the official Irish Open website www.irishpokeropen.com.

The gateway facilitates both individual and card room registrations with payment possible via credit cards, bank transfer, and cheque in three easy stages.

Step 1: Register and receive booking reference number
After registration players will receive an email containing a booking reference number which they will need for the next step.

Step 2: Choose a payment method
Registrants can choose to pay by credit card (takes three days to clear), cheque (must be posted before March 17), or bank transfer (before March 27).

Step 3: Email confirmation by paddypowerpoker.com
Payments take 5-7 working days to process once received at paddypowerpoker.com. All players will receive an email confirmation when payment has been fully lodged into the system.

After March 27, cash will be the only payment method accepted for entry into the Irish Open.

Eric Booth, head of poker at paddypowerpoker.com, said, "Our safe and secure online payment offers the simplest way for poker players to secure their seat in this year's Irish Open and avoid queues on the day. Card rooms can book whole teams of players in one easy transaction, so it really is the cutting edge in terms of convenience."

The Irish Open 2009 will take place at the Citywest Hotel in Dublin, Ireland from April 9-13, 2009. The festival includes the €3,200 + €300 Main Event, a two-day €1,500 + €150 No-Limit Holdem freezeout, a €300 + €30 Pot-Limit Omaha rebuy tournament, and a ladies No-Limit Holdem freezeout.

A new event has also been added this year, the €300 + €30 No-Limit Holdem charity tournament, which hopes to raise over €50,000 for Our Lady's Children's Hospital in Dublin.
