Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) March 7, 2009
GPS CITY, the 15 year GPS authority, is pleased to announce the availability of the Garmin Nuvi 1200 and 1300 series GPS units for pre-order. GPS CITY is currently the only vendor allowing consumers to pre-order the combined eight units from the two lines. The new products, Nuvi1200, 1250, 1260T, 1300, 1350, 1350T, 1370T and 1390T will complement GPS CITY's already broad range of GPS products and accessories.
With special attention paid to size and portability, Garmin has created the 1200 and 1300 lines to accommodate not just drivers but, more specifically, on-foot travelers. Offering users a slimmer, even more advanced GPS, both lines are approximately 25% thinner than previous Garmin units. While significantly smaller, they feature some of the newest, most desired features in a GPS.
Among these new features are CityXplorer maps suited specifically for pedestrian navigation. This optional addition will allow users to navigate their way through subway, tram and bus routes without having to worry about reading often confusing paper route maps. Rounding out the new additions to the already loaded 1200 and 1300 GPS units are ecoRoute (a navigation accessory that directs users to the most fuel efficient routes) and a fully revamped digital user interface. Previously, ecoRoute was only available as a downloadable firmware update through Garmin's Web site.
Both units also feature the popular text-to-speech function previously found only in higher end, more expensive GPS.
The 1200 and 1300 series Garmin GPS start at $199 and are expected to dominate GPS sales for the foreseeable future. Accessories and mounts for the 1200 and 1300 series will also be available at http://www.gpscity.com.
