Phil Hellmuth, Annie Duke and Don Cheadle set to represent UltimateBet.net in televised heads-up poker series on NBC.

Don't be surprised if the NBC peacock starts wearing an UltimateBet.net jersey. The leading online poker site today confirmed that two of its pros and a Hollywood film star will be representing UltimateBet.net in NBC's Heads Up Poker Championship.

UltimateBet.net pros Phil Hellmuth and Annie Duke are slated to play in the March Madness style heads-up poker series on NBC. Also sporting UltimateBet.net's signature black and gold colors in the $20,000 buy-in invitation-only tournament is Hollywood film star Don Cheadle.

The 2009 NBC Heads Up Poker Championship takes place in Las Vegas at Caesars Palace from March 6th through 8th. NBC will air the tournament in April and May. The heads-up Texas Hold'em series is modeled after college basketball's elimination style bracket competition. A total of 64 players will compete in fierce one-on-one Texas Hold'em tournaments for a first place prize of $500,000.

In 2005, 11-time WSOP bracelet winner and UltimateBet.net pro Phil Hellmuth secured the championship title of the inaugural National Heads-up Poker Championship. The televised poker series was conceived as replacement programming during the NHL lockout and instantly attracted a large following.

The 2009 Heads Up Poker Championship isn't the only NBC television program to feature an UltimateBet pro. Annie Duke, the online poker site's Cardroom Consultant, is a contestant on Donald Trump's Celebrity Apprentice.
