Chicago Area CPA Firm Porte Brown Announces Two New Partners. Two long-time members of Porte Brown management are promoted to partner. Both have extensive experience with Chicago Area businesses and deep ties to the community.

Gleba, both CPAs, were recently promoted to Partner. Jeffrey R. Smiejek joined Porte Brown in 1994. Jeff is a CPA and Certified Valuation Analyst, CVA, specializing in financial valuations of business enterprises. Jeff is a member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, (NACVA), the Midwest Business Brokers and Intermediaries Association (MBBI) and the Illinois CPA Society. He is the treasurer of Chicago Non-Profit, Inc., and the accounting advisor for Goldie's Place, a support center for the homeless, based in Chicago. Jeff graduated with a B.S. in Accounting and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Colorado. He grew up in Crystal Lake and currently lives in Chicago with his wife and two children.
Joseph A. Gleba joined Porte Brown in 1996. Joe is a CPA and uses his extensive knowledge of accounting software solutions to help clients advance in accurate financial reporting and accounting efficiencies. Joe is a member of the Illinois CPA Society, (ICPAS) and the Illinois Road and Transportation Builders Association (IRTBA). He is the treasurer of the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce. Joe graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from Bradley University. He grew up in Mount Prospect and currently lives in Bartlett with his wife and two children.
