Maxim Behar has been elected President of of The Bulgarian Association of PR Agencies (BAPRA). Maxim Behar is a leader and a veteran of the Bulgarian public relations business. He is the first Bulgarian to become a member of the International PR Association (IPRA), and the only Bulgarian representative at the Public Relations Society of America.
He has also served as the Chair of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum for two terms, and is currently serving on dozens of Bulgarian and foreign boards including the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria and the Bulgarian branch of the Junior Achievement and a very close associate with the American Jewish Committee (AJC).
Behar is Honorary Consul of the Republic of Seychelles to Bulgaria. Maxim Behar is the founder, owner, and CEO of the Bulgarian PR corporation M3 Communications Group, Inc., (http://www.m3bg.com) which is a member of the Hill & Knowlton Associates Group, part of WPP, Inc.
"I accept my election to this post as a huge responsibility and a challenge to unite the Bulgarian public relations business even more now. There are great professionals working in this field in Bulgaria, and only the accomplishment of our common goals can make the market more favorable for us. That is why, our main task now is to invite all PR companies that meet our standards to join the Association," Behar says.
He took over from the outgoing Chair of the Association, Lyubomir Alamanov. The BAPRA members also elected Alexander Durchev from All Channels Communications as Deputy Chair.
The Bulgarian Association of PR Agencies (BAPRA) was set up in 2001 and members are leading PR companies in the country. BAPRA is a full member of International Communications Consultancy Organization (ICCO).
