Buffalo, NY (PRWEB) March 10, 2009
District 7090 of Rotary International announces the release of its seven-minute video, "Rotary Now." This video helps recruit new members into Rotary. It features six busy young professionals who make time in their lives to give back to their communities as members of Rotary. Rotary District 7090 comprises 73 Rotary clubs with 2,700 members in Southern Ontario and Western New York.
Local Rotarians, Kevin Crosby and John Paget, produced the video and published it in DVD format. Kevin and John donated their time and services to create this program for District 7090. Kevin is a Partner at Full Circle Studios (http://www.fullcirclestudios.com), and is a member of the Buffalo Sunrise Rotary Club. John is owner of Paget Films (http://www.pagetfilms.com), and is a member of the Rotary Club of Buffalo.
According to Kevin, "We created the video to challenge the stereotype many younger people have about service clubs. Too many see service clubs as organizations of older folks who gather primarily for fellowship and the practice of arcane or secretive rituals."
John added, "This has really turned out to be a timely film, because now more than ever we need to be citizens and humanitarians and not just consumers. As the people in the film point out, Rotary promotes civic engagement. It's really a catalyst for getting people involved in community service and leadership."
The key message of the Rotary Now video is that Rotary offers an opportunity for younger business people and professionals to fulfill their desire to support and participate in community service projects and humanitarian programs, both locally and in other countries. Rotary membership also provides an opportunity to network with business leaders in the community, thus contributing to career development.
Rotary Now has caught the attention of Rotary Districts around the US and Canada. Rotary Clubs and Districts can purchase copies of the program at the Rotary Now Video website - http://www.RotaryNowVideo.com.
