For many Americans, energy conservation and exploring the idea of taking care of the environment is an uphill battle. Yet with millions of people working for a common goal, preserving the Earth isn't completely impossible.

Launching their site in October 2008, entrepreneurs Jim Collins and his wife, Judy, founded http://www.GoGreenerASAP.com with the intention of helping people create a cleaner, better environment.

"Going green and taking measures to save energy, such as weatherization, is very important these days," said Collins. "The more we save energy, the less we'll be consuming and the less hard there will be to our way of life."

Collins' site has several products from eco-friendly tools, items for proper weatherization and even books that promotes green living and green energy.

"I wanted to have an online store that was fairly well-rounded," he said. "I wanted to be able to have products in my store that would not only prepare people who are trying to go green, but also have the tools to maintain the lifestyle."

Collins is also dishing out advice on his new blog http://www.CleanAndGreenBlog.com.

"We're going to have hints on how to save energy and information about environmentally friendly household cleaners and alternative energy," he said. "We're going to dive deeper into the facts that we scratch the surface of on the website."

As spring peaks its head around the corner and the weather gets warmer, people are no doubt getting ready to turn on their central air machines. But for the Americans who want to play it safe and preserve the beauty of the planet, Jim Collins is keeping his site up-to-date with all the relevant facts.

"I keep the site simple and the facts straight," Collins said. "People can do these easy things to save energy and it's really not rocket science."
