Education Software Website Launches New Blog

Education website, JEDCo50.com has recently launched a new coordinating blog, Educational-SoftwareInfo.com. Site founder, Elaine Pelon, talks about the site's origins and their overall goal for both the web store and its latest venture.

My personal mantra is 'Let's get kids' minds going,'

Elaine Pelon holds education in the highest regard. According to Pelon, "Learning never stops. Ninety-year-olds want to learn, too." With that sentiment, Pelon channels the feelings of most parents who feel that the statistics of America's floundering education system doesn't represent the resilience of the children who are students and not numbers.

"I want to help the child not feel like a failure and providing that information would help," said Pelon.

In August 2008, Pelon started http://www.JEDCo50.com, an educational software web store that specializes in top notch learning games for a range of ages. From preschoolers to adults, JEDCo50.com literally has something for everyone and promotes the convergence of technology and education through computer literacy.

The website functions well enough to have the least computer-savvy person navigate through it and choose software that would suit their needs best whether it's preschool education or math games.

"My personal mantra is 'Let's get kids' minds going,'" explained Pelon.

In addition to having a well-rounded web store, JEDCo50.com has its own blog in the form of http://www.Educational-SoftwareInfo.com.

The blog will detail the current news in education and also gives helpful hints with encouraging education, even after the kids have left the classroom and are at home playing on the computer or watching television.

As the site begins to pick up steam, Pelon looks to her personal beliefs and her constant support of education as the overall backbone of the company's success. Unlike many other retailers, JEDCo50.com has a mission that doesn't necessarily involve profits.

"We're focused on helping people learn and not just the software," said Pelon. "Parents just don't want to give their kids mindless games and leave it at that. They want their kids to explore the world and education is the perfect starting point for seeing the rest of the world that exists outside of a classroom."
