Toobla announced the availability of its web service in private beta at the SXSW Interactive Festival in Austin, TX today. Toobla is an interactive widget platform that enables people to save and share their web stuff. Internet users have not easily been able to find and save web "widgets" or embeddable content, let alone share to their social media pages. Toobla changes all of that with its proprietary tool and web service.

According to Jake Saxbe, Toobla's Founder and Chief Architect, "Toobla enables Internet users to search and find widgets, save in their personal library and then create unique 'live' channels that they can share with friends on social media sites like Facebook, MySpace and Twitter." Toobla was built by EdgeCase -- a Ruby on Rails development shop, and launched as an alpha site in December, 2008. The Private beta site is being launched at the SXSW conference with a public beta release anticipated in the spring of 2009. Toobla can be accessed @ Toobla.com with the Firefox and Safari browsers with IE support to be available once the public beta site is launched.

The management team includes Bob Kington , CEO -- the previous Executive Producer of CompuServe, Jake Saxbe, Founder and Chief Architect, and Brian Link, CTO -- previously a technology VP at Digg. Brian Oberkirch is leading the marketing efforts, and Mule Design in San Francisco created the design.
