Goode, Hemme & Peterson Helps Send Underprivileged Kids to Camp
San Diego law firm Goode Hemme, & Peterson, specializing in real estate and business law, announced today that through their involvement in the Community Campership Council's 20th Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party, the non-profit was able to raise donations to send 100 disadvantaged kids to camp.
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) March 12, 2009 -- Goode Hemme, & Peterson, a San Diego Law firm specializing in real estate and business law, announced today that their sponsorship of the 20th Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party fundraiser for the Community Campership Council was able to help the non-profit raise enough donations to help 100 disadvantaged San Diego youth afford summer camp.
"We're proud to support the Community Campership Council's annual fundraiser," said San Diego attorney Jerry Hemme, who is the president of the organization and was on the committee that organized the event. "Many of the children helped by this organization come from single parent families or foster care. By attending summer camp, these children are given an opportunity to gain self-confidence, master new skills, and make new friends."
In addition to Mr. Hemme's involvement, the law firm sponsored a table and donated Padres tickets to silent auction. The event saw a 10 percent increase in attendance over last year.
