Share Article

ArtistsWithPurpose.com is a networking community that provides a platform for faith-base indie artists, their fans, and industry professionals to network. Fans and industry professionals can listen to and download new music, watch videos, write reviews, view, and purchase other products from new and emerging musicians, singers, songwriters, cartoonists, comedians, dancers, poets, and filmmakers. Industry professional will also have the opportunity to find fresh talent.

I saw how difficult it was for artists to gain exposure when they had a very limited amount of resources, and the nearest large metropolitan area was a two hour drive away. I thought to myself, how could I help even the playing field for artists in a similar situation?

ArtistsWithPurpose.com is dedicated to helping the new and independent Christian artist gain exposure, the industry professional find new talent, and the fan gain access to their favorite indie artists. "Contrary to popular opinion, there are still people who desire to have positive, inspirational, and/or uplifting entertainment as an option. There are artists that understand the influence that their product has on society, and they do what they do with regard to the content and the message", says Kerry C. Battle, founder and CEO of ArtistsWithPurpose, LLC.

Kerry C. Battle was inspired by his late brother-in-law, who was a budding rap artist from rural Georgia. Two years after his death from a car accident Memorial Day weekend in 2005, the vision of ArtistsWithPurpose.com was born. "I saw how difficult it was for artists to gain exposure when they had a very limited amount of resources, and the nearest large metropolitan area was a two hour drive away. I thought to myself, how could I help even the playing field for artists in a similar situation?" After a year of researching and developing a business plan, and as a way of honoring his brother-in-law, the long awaited launch of ArtistsWithPurpose.com is finally a reality.

Now, more than ever, current economical conditions drive artists to find the most effective and efficient way to reach their audience. ArtistsWithPurpose.com turns that opportunity into a reality, at no cost to the artists, through a network made up of members of the faith-based indie community. All registered artists of the site will have access to: personalized web profiles, an artist's store, and forums, among other features.

Artists will be able to post bios, pictures, videos, and music onto their personalized web page for other artists, fans, and industry professionals to view, write reviews, and purchase products. The artist's store will enable the artist to sell her/his product(s) to their fans, and other members of the site. Members of ArtistsWithPurpose.com will also have access to a wealth of knowledge through various discussions via forums, in which they can create, read, and post replies to threads.

As an added incentive, ArtistsWithPurpose.com will host contests that will give the artist an opportunity to win prizes and some much needed cash that they may use in any way they see fit.
