Next generation dental practice appointment book and online patient community creates new ways to interact with one's dentist.

Dentisoft Technologies today announces its release of new web components capable of simulating a desktop experience, yet through a web-browser. Web 2.0 components make use of the newest web development tools, allowing dentists to leverage online computing without sacrificing a desktop feel.

Dentisoft Office Online's new appointment scheduling module provides for real time web interaction with a hosted server, giving it real-time backup and anywhere/anytime access to one's appointment book-- all with the added benefit of letting patients request or confirm appointments online.

Eric Wasserman, COO of Dentisoft Technologies says, "For many years, web-based systems have relied upon technologies which prevented wide-spread adoption. This is no longer the case. Software-as-a-Service has arrived in Dentistry. You can now interact with patients directly through the practice management system, providing opportunities for administrative savings, clinical discussions, and marketing."

"We have also strived to expand the notion of what the practice system should do for dentists by providing an online 'community' of users and patients, and not just the standard nuts-and-bolts practice management system. http://www.DentalAppointments.com gives every patient their own Dental Home Page which connects directly to the dentist's desktop," says Wasserman.

Dentisoft is also announcing that its free-ware version, Dentisoft Office - Lite will also include the new appointment scheduling module.

"We wanted to make this new technology available as widely as possible because it gives patients new and efficient ways to access care," said Wasserman. Dentists can use this product along side their current practice management system, even if it is from another software company--it's like getting a free upgrade--and in many cases, the office can even synchronize their appointment book automatically. Patient messaging, online forms, appointment requests and reminders are all part of the free system.

Dentisoft Technologies provides business software and services to dental professionals and dental consumers nationwide. Dentisoft Technologies is a privately-held company headquartered in Bethesda Maryland. For more information visit http://www.Dentisoft.com and http://www.DentalAppointments.com
