I am delighted to host this event

Heist boutique announced today they would host a special event featuring the spring 2009 collection from rag & bone. Designers David Neville and Marcus Wainwright of rag & bone will be on hand to assist shoppers in finding the perfect looks for the spring season. The event will take place at Heist boutique on Thursday March 19th from 7 - 10pm.

Heist boutique has been a popular shopping destination in Venice for the past five years. The boutique features very exclusive and hard to find designers such as Isabel Marant, Jerome Dreyfuss, Gary Graham, Humanoid, Golden Goose, Nili Lotan, Faliero Sarti and Brochu Walker to name a few.

"I am delighted to host this event," said Nilou Ghodsi, owner of Heist boutique. "rag and bone's spring collection is really fresh and wearable. The collection is one of my personal favorites and I'm really excited for my clientele to meet the creative duo behind the clothes they love."

"Years ago Marcus and I learned how to make jeans in a factory in Kentucky that had been making clothes for generations. It was the kind of authenticity and attention to quality we found there that became important to us. It was very grassroots and this is where we basically started rag & bone. Six years later, and now with five Women's collections a year, our mission hasn't changed. This is why we support the best independent boutiques that have been loyal to rag & bone through the years. This event with Nilou, and Heist, is a great example; plus, since we're both from England, it's a great excuse to get to the beach!" said Neville.

The event will take place at the Heist boutique after hours. Cocktails and light hors d'oeuvres will be served, and shoppers will have the exclusive and unique opportunity to interact with Wainwright and Neville for personalized styling. "My customers will love working with David and Marcus…these boys are amazing at dressing women!" said Ghodsi.

The rag & bone Spring 2009 collection takes its inspiration from the clothing and attitudes of the British working class youth in the late '60s and early '70s. The influence of music and film also heavily impact the era that the rag & bone Spring 2009 collection channels. The textures of rag & bone Spring 2009 pair shiny versus matte fabrics with a bit of wool, lots of silk, cotton and some nylon tech treatments. The color scheme employs floral prints mixed with leather, Kelly green, mustard yellow along with a classic rag & bone backdrop of rich neutrals in asphalt grey and shiny black.

The event is by invitation only, but interested shoppers can go to the Heist website to secure their invitation.
