Amidst the recession, Boston recruiting firm Hollister looks for the best talent in the Industry to support its growth

Having steered this company through two recessions already, I have faced the many challenges associated with managing a business through difficult times

Kip Hollister, the Founder and CEO of local recruiting firm Hollister, announced today that Hollister is hiring despite its being affected by the recession.

"Having steered this company through two recessions already, I have faced the many challenges associated with managing a business through difficult times," said Hollister. "In my experience, working with other companies and managing my own, I've found that a company's ability to adapt to the changing economic climate significantly affects how well it will emerge from challenging times," Hollister added.

Over the past few months, Hollister has experienced 11 performance-based layoffs which were determined according to both past performance analysis and projected future performance assessments. Despite these layoffs, Hollister has, and will continue to hire experienced recruiters and business development professionals.

"Many companies, my own included, have been forced to make tough decisions in an effort to remain competitive in today's market," explained Hollister. "It's all about having the right people on your team, and right now, I am looking for the best in the Industry to bring my business to the next level."

Although Hollister is feeling the impact of the recession with the mass layoffs and hiring freezes taking place across the Commonwealth, the senior leadership team remains optimistic and focused on opportunities that are present in the current market.

"In a down time, we feel lucky to be in a state that is so diversified by industry and remain fully prepared to support companies that are facing hiring challenges,"said Hollister.

Hollister, ended the fiscal year of 2008 with $23.3 million in revenue, earning its place as one of Boston's Fastest Growing Private Companies, Largest Temporary Placement Agencies and Top 100 Woman-Led Businesses. The company was also recently inducted into the Boston Business Hall of Fame for its consistent commitment to community service and social responsibility.
