Longhairlovers Crystalline Solid Organic Shampoo and Solid Satin Conditioner contain natural and organic ingredients packaged in a biodegradable film that won't pollute landfills.

Longhairlovers Hair Care announces two new solid hair care products that nourish the hair with natural & organic ingredients while eliminating the need for bottles that eventually end up in landfills.

"Our goal is to have fewer hair care bottles polluting the environment," says Longhairlovers founder Jennifer Bahney. "The answer is a solid product that works just as well to create beautiful hair as a liquid product. We've accomplished this goal with our organic Crystalline Solid Shampoo and Solid Satin Conditioner."

Longhairlovers Crystalline Solid Shampoo is clear and milld, sulfate free and clean rinsing. Unlike other shampoo bars on the market, Crystalline Solid Shampoo is transparent and won't leave deposits on the hair. Ingredients include organic castor bean oil; organic virgin coconut oil; palm stearic acid; filtered water; dl panthenol (provitamin B5); vegetable glycerine; organic sucrose; extracts of peppermint, yucca, horsetail, nettles and melissa; and ethically farmed bergamot mint essential oil. Also made with sodium hydroxide and ethanol for transparency, neither of which remains in the finished bar.

Longhairlovers Solid Satin Conditioner gently detangles hair, adds body and shine, and can be used as a rinse out or leave in product. Ingredients include behentrimonium methosulfate and cetearyl alcohol (naturally derived from colza oil); organic, fair trade shea butter; dl panthenol (provitamin B5); filtered water; extracts of peppermint, yucca, horsetail, nettles and melissa; soy protein; organic lavender essential oil; organic orange essential oil; natural vitamin E; and grapefruit seed extract.

Both solid hair care products are packaged and labeled with EarthFirst PLA made with Ingeo,
a compostable film created from corn. The corn is grown and processed in the Midwest then shipped to, Inc. in Ohio in the form of EarthFirst PLA film. The use of this local product greatly reduces Longhairlovers' carbon footprint.

"Our solid shampoo and conditioner are concentrated products without additional water," Bahney says. "Basically, you add the water when washing your hair. Simply run the product under water and glide through hair. It's that simple."
