On the cover is none other than Atlanta's very own, the Honorable Shirley Franklin, the 58th Mayor of Atlanta. Shirley Franklin redefined history, being elected in 2001 as the city's first woman Mayor and the first African-American woman to serve as Mayor of a major southern city.
