The recent announcement that Cisco is expanding its data center solutions with the announcement of Cisco Unified Computing has raised some questions and much interest. The computing solution, combining technologies such as blade servers, virtualization, network and storage access, is expected to boost efficiency in data centers. Logicalis hopes to evaluate how the new Cisco Unified Computing System fits into its existing Data Center solution portfolio.

"The Cisco Unified Computing System is one that we feel will complement our existing suite of Cisco technology products and services," said Bob Hankins, VP, Cisco Solutions for Logicalis. "When we choose to integrate a particular product or solution it is because we feel that it can meet a specific set of requirements for our customers. Instead of simply choosing a product and attempting to apply it to all of our customers' needs, we focus on each customer's unique situation and then make recommendations that we feel will work the best for their specific requirements."

Cisco's new offering is the latest testament to the increasing importance businesses are placing on maximizing productivity and creating more efficient spending practices. Logicalis believes it will have a strong edge in this new direction, given its history of implementing business IT solutions with a focus on reducing costs and increasing return on investment. Leveraging this experience, Logicalis is able to seamlessly implement new products and services, such as the Cisco data center solution, in ways which are unique to its clients.

"Our customers do not rely on us merely as a supplier of the technology equipment and products they need," said Jeff Teeter, EVP and general manager, Technical and OEM Relations for Logicalis. "Customers come to us because they know we can help them navigate the complexities of an ever-changing, heterogeneous technology landscape. They count on us to assess, plan, design, integrate and manage these solutions while staying keenly aware of the costs and risks involved in the change. Our commitment is to help our clients enhance cost-efficiencies and identify innovative uses of resources across their data centers while proactively mitigating risks."

As a longtime Cisco Gold Partner, Logicalis supports all aspects of the network life cycle and is a specialist in Unified Communications, Data Centers, Wireless LANs, Network Security and Network Infrastructure. Logicalis has consistently held one of the highest customer satisfaction ratings of any Cisco partner and has received Cisco's "Customer Satisfaction Excellence" award multiple times.
