Analyst organization establishes first Cloud Research Board ™ and Cloud Council ™ to focus industry insight

Giving form and substance to the business of Cloud Computing

"Giving form and substance to the business of Cloud Computing" is the core theme and goal of the industry's first research forums devoted to both user and provider organizations.

Launched and announced today by respected software and services research firm Saugatuck Technology Inc., the Cloud Research Board ™ (CRB) is a broad-based community of interest focusing on Cloud Computing in all of its aspects. Membership in the Saugatuck's Cloud Research Board is open to business and IT end-users as well as technology providers, who share an interest in this evolving phenomenon.

Members will be part of a special panel for the purpose of survey and interview research, as well as being able to participate in virtual round-table discussions and Saugatuck blogs on emerging, current, and otherwise challenging Cloud business and technology issues. Membership will also provide access to select premium research published by Saugatuck as well as a special incentive pricing program related to Saugatuck ongoing subscription research service, CRS.

Prospective members can register immediately at http://www.saugatech.com/crbsignup.htm.

In addition to the CRB, Saugatuck also announced today that it is forming a special executive-level forum for senior executives with an interest and expertise in conceptualizing, implementing and managing advanced technology for business benefit. Called the Cloud Council ™ - membership is by invitation-only, and limited to end-user business and IT executive's at larger firms with appropriate seniority, decision making authority and experience.

Cloud Council members will be entitled to all of the benefits enjoyed by the Saugatuck Cloud Research Board and, in addition, will serve as senior advisors helping to shape the direction of Saugatuck's research programs on Cloud Computing. Periodically, Saugatuck will sponsor exclusive and confidential on-site and webinar-based meetings and roundtable meetings solely for Cloud Council members, as well as help facilitate peer interaction.

"We are delighted to be organizing these two very important executive forums and research initiatives," shared Saugatuck CEO Bill McNee. "The great news is that in addition to our deep expertise in SaaS and Cloud Computing, our team has a lot of industry experience developing and helping to foster fully independent forums in which members can freely and confidentially share their ideas, insights, best practices, questions and needs."

"With the launch of both the Cloud Research Board and Cloud Council, Saugatuck continues to expand our focus as we flesh out some uniquely user-executive focused research programs," added Mike West, Research VP at Saugatuck, and the overall Program Director for both initiatives.
