Unsigned bands can compete for a spot in the 2009 Vans Warped Tour. FameCast has been chosen to power and run the famous Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands, where indie bands can win a chance to play in one of the 46 stops on the country's most popular traveling music festivals.

When the largest online and live music promotion of its kind teams with one of North America's premier music tours, they turn to the most sophisticated platform available to deliver value to bands, fans and sponsors.

The Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands has announced that FameCast and their revolutionary music contest management platform will power this year's Battle of the Bands competition for the 2009 Vans Warped Tour, one of the country's most popular national music tours.

Unsigned bands hoping to earn a spot to play alongside bands like Flogging Molly, Less than Jake, NOFX and The Devil Wears Prada at one of the Warped Tour's 46 stops in the U.S. and Canada can upload an audio or video file online. Fans then vote for their favorites and determine who will win one of the 200 coveted spots and a chance at fame. In 2008, 13,500 indie bands competed.

Beginning as an online music talent competition, FameCast has quickly become recognized as an innovator in identifying up-and-coming talent in a number of music styles and creating a highly interactive experience between musicians and music fans.

"Brands, advertising agencies and concert promoters have taken notice and have approached us to gain access to our contest platform and digital marketing expertise." Says Kent Savage, Founder and CEO of FameCast. "As a result, we have aligned our business to apply our platform and expertise to create custom solutions that allow brands to engage, entertain and activate their customer base."

In addition to the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands and 2009 Van Warped Tour, FameCast also powers Guitar Centers' On-Stage competition with Mötley Crüe, John Mayer's Mayercraft, the Taste of Chaos Battle of the Bands, and Fender Guitars' Road Worn™ competition.
