Namasté Solar has been awarded the Gold Level Sustainable Business Medal of Honor and accepted the award on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at the Sustainable Opportunities Summit held at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver.
As part of Sustainable Opportunities Week, highlighting business trends and innovations in sustainability, the Colorado CleanTech Initiative, Colorado Biz Magazine, CORE, and the National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL) are hosting the Fourth Annual Sustainable Business Medal of Honor Awards. Namasté Solar was named the Gold Level winner in part for its conscientious business model and in part for its comprehensive sustainability practices, including its LEED Gold certified (pending) main office in Boulder. This award supports "thriving businesses who meet the needs of current customers without compromising the lifestyle of future generations."

(bronze), a Boulder-based firm that produces energy-efficient LED lighting for the industrial and commercial marketplace.
