Stars of the New York fashion, entertainment and social scene gathered last night to salute Valentino and promote the iconic heritage of Haute Couture. Madonna made a surprise appearance at the Quintessentially & Gilt Groupe private dinner held at the Oak Room. She was seated next to Valentino with Gwyneth Paltrow on her other side. At the same table were Claire Danes, Martha Stewart and Anne Hathaway. Insider Gossip: Rumor has it that Madonna is going back on tour in Europe this summer. Fashion icons such as Carolina Herrera and Diane von Furstenberg mingled with Quintessentially Co-Founder Aaron Simpson and wife Leanne as well as Regis Philbin, Roger Waters, Helena Christensen and Karolina Kurkova. Quintessentially members enjoyed a fabulous dinner with a hand-selected menu by Valentino himself in what turned out to be one of the most coveted events of early 2009.
