Minnetonka, MN (PRWEB) March 24, 2009 -- With what seems like the worst recession since the great depression upon us, both small and large business are frantically searching for ways to cut spending, increase revenue, and get back to profitability. According to the latest post on www.iBlogMarketing.com, Internet marketing is the answer. iBlogMarketing.com explains that the advertising industry itself is going through major changes as Internet marketing gains greater adoption and results demonstrate it out performs traditional media.

According to iBlogMarketing.com, not only is over all advertising spending predicted to decrease by record amounts, but ad spending will also shift away from traditional media, including television, print, and radio, to Internet marketing and advertising. The 2008 Starcom MediaVest Group's Annual Media Futures report predicted advertising spending for 2009 to decrease by a record 2.4 percent (year over year). With nearly 6 in 10 national advertisers indicating intentions to increase Internet budgets in 2009, it is expected that advertising expenditures for traditional forms of advertising will decrease severely while the Internet becomes the main beneficiary of media expenditures.

Lou Del Monte, President of Minneapolis based Internet Marketing agency TMA E-Marketing stated, "Almost every forecast is predicting advertising expenditures to decrease for traditional media and migrate to the Internet. The reality is, Internet marketing, advertising, and public relations are out performing their traditional counterparts. With the numerous online campaign methodologies available, the question isn't will Internet marketing work for my company, but what is the right Internet marketing plan for my business."

Lou suggests reading his up coming blog post, Part 2: The Internet Marketing Plan, where he will address the question: What is the right Internet marketing plan for my business? The post is scheduled for April 6, 2009.
