ClearWater Tech Announces Launch of EcoTex™ Advanced Oxidation Systems

ClearWater Tech, LLC, a division of Aquion Water Treatment Products, has introduced EcoTex™ Advanced Oxidation Systems, a commercial laundry system designed to save money, conserve energy and improve laundry quality. Depending on current practices, a typical laundry facility can generate cost savings to achieve full payback on the investment within eight to 18 months. The system also reduces COD (chemical oxygen demand) and BOD (biological oxygen demand) in laundry effluent, protecting the environment. In addition, EcoTex™ eradicates "superbugs" like MRSA and Clostridium difficile, which are resistant to standard thermal washing with bleach.

Chicago, Ill. (PRWEB) March 22, 2009 - ClearWater Tech, LLC, a division of Aquion Water Treatment Products, has introduced EcoTex™ Advanced Oxidation Systems, a commercial laundry system designed to save money, conserve energy and improve laundry quality.

EcoTex™ uses the power of ozone and oxygen not only to enhance the performance of chemicals in the different washing steps, but also to eliminate steps in the traditional wash cycle. It uses cold water instead of hot, and less of it, for superior energy savings. Depending on current practices, a typical laundry facility can generate cost savings to achieve full payback on the investment within eight to 18 months. In addition, many utility companies offer generous rebates to businesses who install this type of energy-efficient system.

"I've been in the ozone industry for 25 years, and this is by far the most exciting opportunity I've ever experienced," said Cameron Tapp, president of ClearWater Tech. "The potential for cost savings is enormous for hospitals, institutional care facilities, hotels, motels, cruise ships and other commercial laundries."

Ozone cold-water laundering also reduces COD (chemical oxygen demand) and BOD (biological oxygen demand) in laundry effluent, protecting the environment.

Of particular significance to hospitals and nursing facilities is the ability of ozone to destroy or inactivate a wide variety of microorganisms within a few seconds to a few minutes. Even "superbugs" like MRSA and Clostridium difficile, which are resistant to standard thermal washing with bleach, are eradicated during ozone cold-water washing.
