The Product Challenge is an opportunity for manufacturers with similar products to challenge each other publicly. The winner is voted on by actual CPAP users who have been provided a trial product. The eighth Product Challenge was sponsored by DeVilbiss to highlight the IntelliPAP AutoAdjust. This challenge resulted in an amazing upset of the highly respected and strong selling M Series Auto. CPAP users voted 19 to 11 in favor of the IntelliPAP AutoAdjust. Four hundred and twenty eight M Series Auto users enrolled to participate and 30 were selected for this challenge.

All Product Challenges are administered in an impartial manner. Thirty people were selected through an open enrollment and the CPAPtalk Product Challenge vetting standards. Those selected were provided with a free IntelliPAP AutoAdjust to trial. Equipment was matched exactly, ie a participant using the Respironics CPAP with heated humidifier and software received those DeVilbiss items while one with a CPAP only received just a CPAP. Users completed a detailed online satisfaction survey after a four week evaluation period.
Press releases with the results of the Product Challenge are made public and announcements are posted to CPAPtalk.com's main page and Product Challenge sections. The manufacturer of the winning product will receive a congratulatory letter, winner's certificate and an invitation to a Trophy Presentation Ceremony hosted by CPAPtalk.com.
The Winner's Seal is the badge of excellence bestowed by the Product Challenge. The emblem boosts consumer confidence and increase conversion rates for retailers. A reference link is provided at the end of every Product Challenge for websites interested in using the Winner's Seal. The symbol provides a link to relevant content for informational CPAP and Sleep Apnea resources. CPAPtalk expects this will improve sales for brick and mortar dealers and Internet websites alike.

The Product Challenge provides a free source for standardized measurements of product satisfaction within the CPAP community.
