It takes just seven minutes to win $500, and in February, the chances were one in 16 to win.
Fort Lauderdale, Fla (PRWEB) March 25, 2009
From April 1 through April 26, college students interested in pursuing a career in the restaurant and food service industry will have the opportunity to win a $500 cash scholarship by taking a simple online quiz.
Sponsored by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) and administered by the Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation (CKSF), the scholarship contest tests students' knowledge of core college courses associated with the restaurant and food service industry curriculum.
"In today's economy, every dollar counts where education is concerned. This scholarship is a fantastic opportunity for students to pay for school," explains Daryl Hulce, president of CKSF and founder of the program. "It takes just seven minutes to win $500, and in February, the chances were one in 16 to win."
The quizzes consist of 20 multiple-choice questions based on information from the Conserve's web site, http://www.conserve.restaurant.org. At completion, the top 10 students with the highest quiz scores win the scholarship award. Scores are available immediately to each participant and the overall ranking (to date) is available within three hours.
