Charleston, S.C. - Blackbaud, Inc. (Nasdaq: BLKB) today announced Blackbaud Connect, a comprehensive new partner network designed to encourage interoperability and help nonprofits succeed.

"Blackbaud respects the strategic value of partners who help create integrated solutions for nonprofits," said Steve Johnson, Blackbaud's vice president of partnerships. "Through Blackbaud Connect, we are supporting partners that share our commitment to making the world a better place through cooperative engagements with nonprofits."

The following companies recently joined the Blackbaud Connect Partner Network as Consulting Partners: The Alford Group, Campbell & Company, and Douglas Shaw and Associates. "We are committed to helping our clients use information effectively and achieve their advancement goals," said Peter Fissinger, Campbell & Company's president. "This partnership with Blackbaud means our clients will have access to the best information available as they execute their fundraising strategies."

Through its applications partner program, Blackbaud also recently partnered with FreeCause, a company that provides a solution that gives nonprofits an instant presence on Facebook, MySpace and other social networks through a single interface. The partnership will enable unparalleled integration with Blackbaud Internet and CRM solutions to better leverage the interactions that take place on social networking websites. The integration also includes a set of Web 2.0 fundraising tools developed for nonprofits to use online.

"Our partnership with Blackbaud allows us to achieve seamless and total data integration, transferring constituent data directly from Facebook into the CRM," said Matt Adkisson, president of FreeCause. "Since most of the value of online relationships depends upon the client's ability to capture and store rich data, we view this integration as a giant leap forward for our technology."

Blackbaud also announced a solution partnership with Fusion Labs, creator of GrantedGE, an online grants management solution for community foundations. "This partnership will enable us to collaboratively deliver a solution that supports the specific needs of community foundations," said Mark Hall, Fusion Labs' chief business officer.

Blackbaud corporate partnership strategy is built on four collaborative foundations: shared values, synergistic roles, mutual benefit, and trust. These principles will guide the company as it expands its relationships with industry leaders. The Blackbaud Connect Partner Network consists of four programs offering various partnership opportunities:

  •     Application Partners--partners with web or other software applications that are integrated with Blackbaud solutions through the company's open platforms
  •     Solution Providers--partners that resell, deliver and support select Blackbaud solutions that compliment their offerings
  •     Referral Partners--partners that recommend Blackbaud solutions to better serve their nonprofit clients
  •     Consulting Partners--fundraising consultant firms, web or direct marketing agencies that partner with Blackbaud for the resources they need to solve client business issues and grow their practices
