The economy is projected to pick up and people can use their stimulus checks to get something like an iPod Nano or replace something like an old video game system

Despite an economic downturn, Americans are still spending money on electronics, such as Global Positioning Systems (GPS), mp3 players and computers. In fact, according to Apple, their Mac sales increased by 38 percent; so the statistics prove the fact that Americans are buying gadgets. That being said, big box retailers and specialty stores still have prices that are out-of-reach from some people. That's where Lamont Hampton comes in.
Hampton is the co-proprietor of http://www.PersonalBargainHunter.com, a website that specializes in discounted electronics. The site, which launched in February 2009, has a large selection of discount Apple iPods, discount car stereos and discount GPS devices.
"I look at things from the customer service side," explained Hampton. "I've researched how to build an e-store like this and keep our prices low for the customers."
Despite only being a few weeks old (as of press time), Personal Bargain Hunter is already on the road to becoming an expansive venture. Hampton expressed interest in carrying both desktop and laptop computers. He's recently started a new blog, as well.
"I think this is another good avenue for me to talk about how people can still get new home and personal electronics without having to worry about their wallets or checkbooks," Hampton said of http://www.PersonalBarginHunterInfo.com.
"The economy is projected to pick up and people can use their stimulus checks to get something like an iPod Nano or replace something like an old video game system," he continued. "It's very much in the interest of a consumer."
Hampton, who champions the customer, personally has over a decade in retail business and is seeing that the advent of web stores are making it possible for people like him to build their companies with ethically sound mission statements and instead of benefiting from peoples' hardships during an economic downturn, helping them by offering them high quality discounted items.
"We offer deals that are better than most big retailers," Hampton said. "We have a hassle-free return policy, but most of all, we're able to keep up with the buying habits of Americans. They expect good service and good prices and that's what we have here."
