Apptera, the voice in mobile advertising, today announced the appointment of innovative industry technologist Chris Lalonde as vice president of engineering. Lalonde, whose engineering and systems architecture experience includes companies such as eBay and Quigo Inc., will be responsible for expanding Apptera's technology infrastructure as the company enters a period of rapid growth.
Lalonde brings to Apptera extensive experience in technology operations and excels in architecting and building highly scalable and available platforms. He will work to strengthen Apptera's place as an emerging leader in the mobile advertising marketplace.

Lalonde most recently was the vice president of technology and operations at Meraki, Inc., where he developed a global platform enabling quick growth for next-generation wireless technology. Before Meraki, Lalonde was chief information officer at Quigo Technologies, an online auction advertising platform. There, he helped significantly scale the team and product architecture. Lalonde was in charge of all site services, new technology initiatives and technology process development and helped drive the platform design to allow for over 1000-percent growth.
From 2000 to 2006, Mr. Lalonde was a senior technology executive at eBay where he was responsible for all strategic and tactical security initiatives and new technologies.
