Companies across all industries are increasingly developing practices that aim to better the environment and save energy
New York, NY (PRWEB) March 25, 2009
Ricochet Public Relations Inc., a specialized reputation management and media relations firm working in healthcare, technology, and industry, today announced that Ralph H. Maestre, a Board Certified Entomologist at Magic Pest Management LLC, will guest lecture on the rise of "green" business practices and applications in the general pesticide and chemical industries to junior and senior associates enrolled in Ricochet's pioneering Publicist Certification ProgramTM.
Mr. Maestre, who received his BA in Environmental Science at Queens College CUNY, is an experienced leader within the pesticide and pest control industry. As a Board Certified Entomologist with the Entomological Society of America, Mr. Maestre helped develop Magic Pest Management's novel "Green Program," which implements environmentally-friendly pest control initiatives. Mr. Maestre's expertise in urban and industrial entomology and knowledge of "green" business tactics provide a strong supplement to Ricochet's Publicist Certification ProgramTM.
Magic Pest's "Green Program" is a holistic approach to pest management that leans heavily on the concepts of Integrated Pest Management (IPM). IPM relies on four distinct areas for successful preventative and predictive maintenance: inspection, monitoring, mechanical and sanitary measures. After assessing each unique microenvironment surrounding a customer's home and business, Magic Pest manages those environments to protect the structure and its inhabitants from invasive and potentially harmful pests, while respecting the natural world. The use of pesticides is a last approach, and any pesticides used are recognized as green or organic in nature.
The Ricochet Publicist Certification ProgramTM, a six month, in-house training program, educates and equips associate members of Ricochet's account teams with the expertise and erudition of the most seasoned PR professionals. Ricochet is the only PR firm that requires all its publicists to be experts in the field in which they work. The program instructs junior members on the most up-to-date industry practices and information available and provides significant professional development training. Mr. Maestre's lecture, based on his comprehensive industry experience, will further equip Ricochet professionals with an in-depth view into the workings of "green" business initiatives and the impact they have on their clients.
"Companies across all industries are increasingly developing practices that aim to better the environment and save energy," said Todd Aydelotte, President, Ricochet Public Relations. "We place significant importance on ensuring that our publicists are completely up to date on this trend. This allows them to better understand the needs of their clients and provide extremely informed work, which is the key to fostering a successful client-publicist relationship. We look forward to including Mr. Maestre with his insightful background and first-hand experience, as an expert speaker in our education program."
Founded in 2000, Ricochet Public Relations has earned a strong reputation for growing companies through strategic PR programs. At the center of its portfolio of services lies the ability to both strategically build and repair clients' reputations and generate sustained, intelligent press exposure for them. Ricochet PR works in only three practice areas - healthcare, technology and industry - and requires each of its publicists to be experts in the fields in which they work. To accomplish this, Ricochet created the Publicist Certification Program™, the only program of its kind in the PR industry.
