A massive white tent, the size of a cruise ship, is erected on the South Beach shoreline to accommodate the 12th bi-annual Funkshion.com March 23 to 28. The one-week, media driven venue coincides with the Winter Music Conference and Ultra Music Festival. Drawing upwards to a million fashionistas and new music revelers, these three events, combined, are biggest of their kind in the world. Produced by Pablo Munoz and Luis Truillo, Green Fashion Miami 2009, Wednesday, March 25, is a celebration of 'Creativity,Beauty and Action'. The 8PM opening gala and fund raiser, features '10 top designers, 30 beauty queens and 1 Cause, our Planet'. Among the models of the organic haute couture are the former Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss Earth, Miss Latina,the two Miss Philippines with Amelia Vega (Miss Universe 2003) as host.
The night also heralds the premiere unveiling of the Silver Dagger ultra-premium Vodka and Silver Dagger Dragon Fruit Vodka with founders Alan Weiner and Serge Abecassis and a number of celebrities in attendance.
