McLean, VA (PRWEB) March 26, 2009
The Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum (SECAF), the premier organization for the small and emerging government contractor, announces the finalists for the First Annual SECAF Awards Gala. The SECAF Awards Gala is the premier commemorative event, honoring small and emerging government contractors and the players in the ecosystem that rely on small business. The 2009 winners will be chosen from among the finalists at the First Annual SECAF Awards Gala on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner.
"In its commitment to the small and emerging government contractor, SECAF elected to launch this unique Awards Gala to serve an unmet need in the marketplace," stated Shiv Krishnan, chairman of SECAF and CEO of government contractor INDUS Corporation. "SECAF recognized that strong, emerging firms with revenues of less than $25M in annual revenues rarely have an opportunity to be recognized, although they are accomplishing great things."
With over 100 nominations received, finalists were chosen in four separate categories. In addition, nominations were accepted for a Government Advocate of the Year, a person within the government that has demonstrated unrivaled support for the small business community. This honoree will be recognized the evening of the Awards Gala.
