SAS Work/Life Program Turns to BAM Radio Network to Help Parents Strike a Balance
Launch of Work/Life Radio connects SAS employees with experts, insights and best practices for working parents
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) March 28, 2009 -- Today, the BAM Radio Network (BRN), a joint project of Moving & Learning and Jackstreet Media Ventures, announced the launch of Work/Life Radio, a new feature of the SAS Work/Life program. The new on-demand radio program is being offered to support SAS's working parents by connecting them to the most current insights and practices on parenting and work/life balance. Work/Life Radio will nanocast BRN's premier program, "Body, Mind and Child" (www.bodymindandchild.com), hosted by Rae Pica, a 30-year veteran in the field of early childhood education. The program offers insightful discussions with the nation's leading experts on the issues parents care about most.
"SAS has the prestigious honor of having been recognized by Fortune Magazine as the #1 Work/Life Balance company in 2009. We are delighted that the SAS Work/Life team is including "Body, Mind and Child" in the many resources the company provides to help employees balance work and family life," said Rae Pica.
Work/Life Radio will draw from BAM Radio Network's extensive library of interviews. "As a part of our goal of providing employees with education and resources for balancing their work and home lives, we are excited to be able to offer Body, Mind and Child Radio's programming featuring the country's leading parenting experts," said Dana Aderhold, SAS Work/Life Parent Resource Consultant and EAP Program Supervisor.

ABOUT SAS
SAS, the leader in business analytics, has been named to FORTUNE magazine's annual list of the "100 Best Companies to Work For" in America for 12 consecutive years. SAS was listed as one of the best for healthcare, childcare and work-life balance. In 2004, SAS's consistent appearance on the list earned the company a membership in the magazine's Hall of Fame, whose 22 inductees have appeared on every list since its inception in 1998.
Annual turnover at SAS is about 4 percent in an industry in which 22 percent is the norm. SAS benefits from this low turnover in many ways, including long-term relationships with customers, knowledge retention and low recruitment and training costs.
About BAM Radio Network
The BAM Radio Network was launched to address the severe imbalance in parenting practices caused by the "commercialization of parenting" and the emphasis on intellectual development that excludes the critical role of the mind/body connection in early childhood. Created by leading early childhood experts, the programming challenges the popular genre of parenting notions that has given rise to popular and generally accepted parenting practices that are contrary to the best available science.
The network is a joint venture between New Hampshire-based Moving & Learning and Los Angeles-based Jackstreet Media Ventures LLC. The program is produced by Emmy Award-winning broadcaster Errol Smith and distributed through the Affiliate Nanocasting Network.
