Miramonte Elementary School Partners with Educational Networks for New Web Presence Internet Content Management System Brings Students, Faculty, Parents and Community Together

Educational Networks, the leading developer of Internet content management software enabling schools and school districts to foster community and unleash the power of the web, has been selected to empower Miramonte Elementary School's new website http://www.miramonteelementary.org.

"First and foremost, the new website will be a source of pride for the entire school community. Students, parents, and staff now have somewhere to visit and share information, to inform themselves of the resources and events that are upcoming on campus and a means to communicate with staff," said Alberto Rodriguez, Technology Resource Teacher at Miramonte Elementary School. "Parents can also check for student homework and more importantly communicate with teachers via email. Parents do not always have time to visit the school to ask teachers questions, but now parents and teachers will be able to email each other. This new website gives our school community a new and exciting way to get involved in the school."

Miramonte Elementary School is one of 554 elementary schools in Los Angeles Unified School District. It is a public school that serves 1771 students in grades K-5.

"The new website is important to the school because it allows us to catch up with Internet technology and it also gives the students, parents and staff a means in which to display all of the great and important work that goes on every day at Miramonte Elementary," Rodriguez added.

Educational Network's SchoolSitePro content management system also offers schools the ability to update the school calendar, post homework assignments, upload unlimited files and even share school photos in just minutes.

"Schools will ultimately reduce cost by using the web to communicate between teachers, students, parents and the community," said Sara Lee, Director of Marketing for Educational Networks. "It will help the school eliminate paperwork and spend more time with students and parents."

The fact that everything is web-based, and not software based, means that any administrator using a computer with a common web browser and Internet connection has all of the tools needed to update the school's website. Additionally, it is very easy to use and even technology novices can get up and running in no time.
