Wedding Mapper helps businesses reach qualified couples through its auction-based platform where they compete for low-cost, premium advertising space on local web pages. Using a proprietary algorithm, Wedding Mapper dynamically prices advertising based on web traffic and demand from a specific city or town. To secure advertising space, vendors join the online auction and set a campaign budget, which can range from $.50 to thousands of dollars. Vendors place bids on local advertising space competing against businesses in equivalent markets, and the top three bids in each market are awarded premium placements.

Vendors receive semi-monthly reports to valuate their current ad placements that include profile views, unique visitors, and website click-through rates. In addition, vendors receive advanced local traffic statistics for Wedding Mapper.com, that reveal consumer frequency, engagement and trends from thousands of featured cities, which vendors use to make educated bids at the auction.

Wedding Mapper launched its local advertising solution in beta in early 2009, enabling companies such as Bella Pictures, Dessy, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, and Wedding Paper Divas as well as thousands of local businesses to leverage its auction-based technology to reach eligible couples in local markets. The platform has since supported over 250,000 bids in 7,000 markets.
