AastraLink RP, based on Microsoft® Response Point™ software, combined with SIP trunking service helps small businesses cut communication expenses

Aastra, a global company at the forefront of the enterprise communication market, announced today the availability of a new bundle aimed at small businesses interested in using SIP Trunking along with the award winning AastraLink RP™.

The AastraLink RP SIP Trunking Bundle, available in the U.S. market only, is priced at just $1,799.99 MSRP and includes the Aastra designed Base Unit containing the Microsoft® Response Point™ software, and three Aastra Response Point 6753i RP phones. The Microsoft Response Point software provides users with a voice-enabled user interface, advanced call routing, built-in voice mail, Automated Receptionist and contact integration with Microsoft Office Outlook®.

Aastra's enterprise grade 6753i RP IP phone is the most popular model offered on the AastraLink RP platform and includes a 3 line LCD display, 6 programmable keys, the Response Point button to access the voice-automated features, and Response Point Auto-Discovery and Auto-Configuration integration.

The AastraLink RP SIP Trunking Bundle is targeted at end users and resellers interested in using SIP trunking offered by their service provider. The AastraLink RP system is compatible with all of the VoIP phone service providers approved in the Response Point community, including the 8x8 SIP Trunking service.

"We are finding more and more business customers moving to SIP Trunking, as opposed to traditional analog or T1/PRI lines," said Huw Rees, Vice President of Business and Channel Development at 8x8, Inc. "Businesses have begun to realize that 8x8's SIP Trunking provides not only dramatically lower costs but also has excellent quality, reliability and a comprehensive feature set, including full E911 compliance, caller ID and non-blocking service. We think the new AastraLink RP SIP Trunking Bundle further lowers the barrier to entry for resellers and end users, enabling a larger market to enjoy the benefits of a fully converged VoIP solution."

"The combination of Microsoft's unique voice-enabled telephony software and Aastra's robust, feature rich phones offer a complete, reliable and affordable communications system for small business" said John Drolet, Vice President of Sales, Aastra USA Inc. "Now, by combining the AastraLink RP SIP Trunking Bundle with a SIP trunking service, small businesses can further stretch their communications dollars while still enjoying the rich features traditionally found in large system PBXs."
