The new video search engine and social community LoomTV has been nominated for the Lead Awards 2009 in the category WebTV.
The Lead Award is one of the most important German media awards since it is not possible to apply, you have to be chosen by the top-class jury consisting of 120 journalists and media professionals. This year more than 500 websites have been reviewed by this jury which nominated LoomTV as one of the best WebTVs. CEOs Nadim Saoudi and Veith Semrau, "We really appreciate this tribute for providing innovative online entertainment. Especially we want to say thank you to all our users who make LoomTV what it is!"
The award show will be on the 1st of April in the Deichtorhallen in Hamburg.
LoomTV simplifies searching and collecting videos from different sources. Users can watch their favorite videos from YouTube, Googlevideo, Dailymotion and others nonstop in one place, organize videos in channels and share them with friends.
The LoomTV GmbH was founded by Nadim Saoudi and Veith Semrau in 2007. The first LoomTV release was put out as a Flash® based desktop application for download. The completely revised Adobe® AIR™ application LoomTV 1.0 offers numerous upgrades regarding media search, organization and community. The web-based service is also available for all popular browsers.
