Winston-Salem, N.C. (PRWEB) March 30, 2009 -- DataChambers, a North Carolina-headquartered information management and technology firm, today announced that Chief Operations Officer Chris Kelley has joined the board of directors for a national consortium of records management companies.
Kelley has been tapped for a three-year term on the board of the National Records Centers Inc. (NRC), a nationwide alliance of more than 70 companies and agencies. Members work together to provide records management services in 40 states and 130 major markets across North America, Central America and Europe - serving clients that range from small independent businesses to Fortune 500 companies.
"The NRC alliance offers local and regional records companies an opportunity to team up and compete effectively against much larger firms," Kelley said. "We're able to offer both affordable prices and broader reach, while retaining local accountability. I look forward to stepping into this new role and helping members make the best of today's challenging economy."
Kelley is an industry veteran who has spent more than two decades in the commercial records center industry. With his help, DataChambers has built one of the largest privately owned information management operations in the industry. The company maintains more than 1.3 million cubic feet of stored inventory for more than 950 clients. DataChambers also operates a major data center that provides business continuity and disaster recovery services to clients across the nation.
DataChambers is a long-standing supporter of the NRC, which is headquartered in Boulder County, Colo. The company's owner, Andy Brown, is a former NRC board chair.
