The 4.3-inch touchscreen unit allows drivers to enter their vehicle dimensions so that routing can be customized to avoid low bridges, narrow roads, sharp curves and other hazards. Another brand new feature is the inclusive data from the National Truck and Trailer Services (NTTS) Breakdown directory. This comprehensive guide has an instantly-accessible directory of semi-truck repair facilities and over 30,000 heavy duty towing services. Drivers can now save time and money by finding services such as garages and weigh stations instantly by using the Nuvi 465T's built-in database.

Incorporating many of the popular features of the Nuvi T series, the 465T is comes preloaded with NAVTEQ street mapping data for the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. Other notable features include: full text-to-speech voice direction, which allows the unit to speak street names; Bluetooth connectivity for placing and receiving calls with compatible phones; and Lane Assist, an invaluable tool for large vehicles which picks optimal lanes of travel based on merging lanes and upcoming exit rams. Speed limits are also displayed for most US roadways, and upcoming road conditions are preloaded so truckers can be aware of steep curves, hills, and other common danger zones.

In following the other T models, the nuvi 465T has subscription-free, real-time traffic updates for life supplied by NAVTEQ Traffic.
