Perth, Western Australia (PRWEB) March 29, 2009
While the Australian economy has been reporting job losses and an economic slowdown, Perth web design firm GTP iCommerce, has experienced record sales for the march 2009 quarter and is desperately searching for the right people to fulfil on new contracts.
Local entrepreneur Dale Carter has run the 13-year-old web design business since 2002 and has never seen as much interest in online marketing as at the present time.
"I think that astute business owners are realising that they need to keep marketing in a slow down but that they need to do it smarter and more cost effectively using the internet", said Carter. "Our client sites have experienced huge growth in online traffic in the last three months as customers spend more time researching products and services before making a purchase".
With over 300 clients and a strong internet presence, the company has seen an increasing flow of sales leads without any increase in out bound marketing.
This has been at a time where there is a lot of nervousness in the local economy which is being impacted on by job losses in the mining sector.
"There are still a lot of business owners growing their business using Internet marketing", said Carter. "And we are also seeing new businesses prepared to invest to get their internet marketing platforms in order".
The rapid expansion of Mobile Internet usage popularised by the iPhone is also expected to create employment for IT professionals.
GTP iCommerce Web Design is offering a "Free Internet Marketing Plan" for eligible Australian companies.
