Mogees has acquired BerryStore, the leading on-device app store for the RIM platform. BerryStore is now accepting paid BlackBerry applications, powered by the Mogees mobile billing platform.

With the acquisition of BerryStore, Mogees now offers a solution for BlackBerry developers that includes distribution and billing. BlackBerry developers can list their applications on BerryStore as free, demo, trial, or paid. Trial and paid applications are powered by the Mogees mobile billing platform. Mogees released their Payment SDK for the BlackBerry earlier this year.

It is free to submit applications to BerryStore. Developers can list applications for free, or sell applications at prices as low as $0.99. The $0.99 price point enables more casual developers to also sell their applications, which would be difficult at the $2.99 minimum price enforced by the yet-to-be-launched BlackBerry App World.
